Description Maalox Oral Suspension provides fast, effective and long-lasting relief from indigestion (dyspepsia) and any associated symptoms. Maalox Oral Suspension contains 2 antacids: magnesium hydroxide and aluminium hydroxide which work by lowering the amount of acid in your stomach. Refreshing Peppermint flavour. DOSAGE: For Oral use. Shake well before use. Adults and children over 12 years: Take one to two 5ml spoonfuls, 20 minutes to 1 hour after meals and at bedtime. Children under 12 years: Not recommended. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MAALOX ORAL SUSPENSION: Always talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine during pregnancy, if you are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines or receiving regular treatment. Do not take this medicine for prolonged periods as it may mask more serious diseases such as stomach ulcers or stomach cancer. If symptoms persist after 7 days consult your doctor. Each 5 ml of suspension contains 200mg of magnesium hydroxide and 175mg of aluminium hydroxide. Like all medicines, Maalox Oral Suspension can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
