Barton & Guestier Chateau Toinet Lavalade St Emilion 2021

75cl bottle. Vegan and Vegetarian. This is a vintage more in line with traditional vintages where the temperature wasn’t excessive, so the alcohol level is respectable.  Deep ruby red colour. Fruit driven with red berries (redcurrant, raspberry) and delicate aromas of cocoa and tobacco. There’s a good bite of acidity with smooth tannins and long fruity aromas. Situated in Vignonet, near Saint-Emilion, on the right bank of the Dordogne river. The property size is 2,3 hectares with vines aged from 40 to over 100 years old. Only natural products are used to treat soil and vines. Low yields, hand tending, careful selection and minimal interference in the natural ripening of the grapes. Its a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet franc.
