Domaine des Sables Verts Saumur-Champigny ‘Glouglou’ 2021

75cl bottle. Carbon Neutral, Sustainable, Vegetarian, Vegan. Produced from the Cabernet Franc grape from old vines. The wine displays enticing aromas of juicy raspberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant fruit. The raspberry fruit flows strongly through to the palate alongside supple tannins and a fresh acidity, resulting in a crisp finish. Drink this a little chilled and imagine you have picked it up from a cool dark Loire valley cellar. The vines lie on deep clay-limestone soils that are rich in tuffeau and green sand, or ‘sables verts’, which inspired the name of the domaine. The vineyard, located in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation, covers 16 hectares, 15 of which are planted with Cabernet Franc.
