Description Medispray is a throat spray designed for local relief of painful sore throats, as well as irritation and scratchiness. It contains chlorhexidine, which acts as an antiseptic, and lidocaine, a powerful local anaesthetic that helps alleviate pain. Can be used by adults, adolescents and children over 12 years. Numbs pain and relieves sore throats. How to use: Before first use or reuse, 8 actuations must be fired to prime the spray. Aim the nozzle at the back of the throat and spray onto the affected area. Do not inhale whilst using the spray. Adults, adolescents and children over 12 years: The recommended dose is 3 to 5 sprays (0.3 – 0.5 ml). Repeat 6 to 10 times per day if required. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. Repeat the dose every hour as needed up to a maximum of ten times in 24 hours. Not for use in children under 12 years of age. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MEDISPRAY THROAT SPRAY Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines, or receiving regular treatment. Do not use Medispray for long periods. Consult your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 2 days. Do not use it if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients of Medispray. Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully. It is advisable to clean the nozzle preventively daily, see the leaflet for instructions, Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Discard 3 months after first use. The active substances are: chlorhexidine digluconate 2 mg/ml and lidocaine hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml. 1 spray contains 177 micrograms chlorhexidine digluconate and 42 micrograms lidocaine hydrochloride.
