San Cassiano Amarone Riserva is a rich, dry Italian red wine from the Veneto region. As is the case with the highest quality Amarone wines, this bottle can be aged for over a decade with exceptional results. This causes a concentration in the sugars and flavours residing in the grapes, creating evolutions in taste and texture. When decanted for a few hours, expect flavours of rich red fruits, coupled with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and coffee. The finish is strong but well balanced with smooth tannins. Produced primarily from the Corvina grape, Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva sees the grapes immediately dried through the “appassimento” process without the removal of the skins. Other grape varieties included are Rondinella (25%) and Molinara (5%). Acohol content: 17%.
