A 2019 vintage from Michael Coudroy, The Chateau Haut-Tropchaud Pomerol is matured in Bordeaux. The fine red wine is made from pure merlot grape and aged for more than 18 months. This takes place in the area between Trotanoy and Petrus, an appellation that features a vineyard of just 2 hectares. Harvesting is 100% manual and the average age of the vines is 60 years. Haut-Tropchaud has always been part of the undisputed group of the best Pomerol and this is no exception, as a wine that’s among the first cru. Haut-Tropchaud Pomerol appears as an inky deep red, mysterious and powerful. This is confirmed by luxurious flavours of rich fruits, oak, and balanced vanilla. This red wine sees great results when aged as it only develops deeper flavours. Equally, it can be enjoyed just as much 4-6 hours after decanting. Food pairings: chicken, salads, fish.
