Sierra Cantabria Privada Colleccion – Tempranillo is produced by the expert winemaker Marcos Eguren on the family’s collection of vineyards in the region. It is a blend of two vinifications from two separate vineyards, one traditional and the other one carbonic maceration, with the wine matured in brand new oak barrels, half French oak and half American oak. These are Valgrande and Jarrarte, both located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and older than 50 years. Tasting notes include intense cherries, black fruit, coffee, and chocolate. The nose is delicate and expressive, featuring spices and petals. Sierra Cantabria Coleccion Privada Rioja has a medium-bodied palate and fine tannins, making for a very easy drinking experience despite its complexity.
